Bridging worlds · Powering up Pakistan
When the unit comes off load,
the clock is ours.
Gohar Energy Services delivers power plant operations and maintenance, planned outages, major overhauls, long-term service agreements, spare parts and component refurbishment across Pakistan — bringing international OEM-grade capability to plant owners at a competitive cost.
Core business · Power sector O&M
Six services. One accountable contract holder.
Everything else we do supports the power sector work. GES keeps rotating and static plant available, efficient and safe — from a single vibration call-out to full-scope O&M of a combined cycle block under a multi-year agreement.
Operation & maintenance
Full-scope, partial-scope or supervisory O&M for thermal, combined cycle and renewable plants. Resident teams, planned maintenance regimes, spares management, statutory inspections and availability reporting against contracted KPIs.
Long-term service agreements
Multi-year LTSAs structured, tendered and delivered with our principals: scheduled outage cover, parts supply and pooling, component refurbishment, resident technical support and remote monitoring — priced against plant running hours, not list price.
Outages & major overhauls
Planned and forced outage execution on gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, HRSGs, boilers and balance of plant. Combustion inspections, hot gas path inspections, major inspections, minor and major overhauls — scoped, mobilised and closed out on schedule.
Spare parts & tooling
OEM and non-OEM spares, sub-assemblies, consumables, specialist tooling and rental equipment — including reverse-engineered replacement parts. Sourcing, import, clearance through the Pakistan Single Window, warehousing and site delivery timed to the outage window.
Repair & refurbishment
Life extension and reconditioning of hot gas path components, rotor assemblies, blades and vanes, generator windings, protective coatings, heat exchangers and valves — in Pakistan where possible, or through accredited international workshops with full documentation.
Engineering & diagnostics
Condition and residual life assessment, root cause analysis, vibration and noise analysis, performance and efficiency testing, retrofit and rehabilitation studies, technical evaluation of contractors and bids, commissioning support, alignment and balancing.
Inside the overhaul
What our teams actually do on the floor
Scopes are written in equipment terms, not marketing terms. Below is the work our principals’ crews and our local teams execute inside a typical outage window. Replace each tile below with your own site photographs.
(tile-1.jpg)
Rotor lifted, blade path exposed
Diaphragm inspection, blade NDT, clearance recording, balancing and re-assembly to OEM tolerances.
(tile-2.jpg)
Gas turbine major inspection
Combustion and hot gas path inspection, rotor destacking where required, blade and vane replacement.
(tile-3.jpg)
Steam turbine overhaul
Full-scope steam turbine overhaul and clearance recording.

How an outage runs
From scope freeze to unit back on bars
An outage is won or lost before the unit comes off load. We work to a fixed sequence, with the principal’s methodology and our local execution capacity behind each stage.
Scope & planning
Work scope freeze, inspection history review, long-lead parts identification, network schedule, manpower and tooling plan.
Mobilisation
Visas and site NOCs, temporary import of specialist tooling, cranes and scaffolding, local manpower, accommodation and site logistics.
Execution
Disassembly, NDT and clearance recording, findings review with the owner, repair or replace decisions, re-assembly under hold points.
Recommissioning
Alignment and balancing, protection checks, run-up, vibration signature, load trial and performance test against the pre-outage baseline.
Close-out
As-found / as-left records, NCR resolution, recommendations for the next interval, spares replenishment and warranty documentation.
Sectors served
Across the whole energy sector
Thermal generation is our centre of gravity. The same engineering discipline carries into hydro, renewables and oil and gas.
Thermal & combined cycle
Gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, HRSGs, boilers, valves and balance of plant at gas-fired, oil-fired and combined cycle facilities.
Coal-fired generation
Turbine, generator, boiler and auxiliary plant maintenance and overhaul, including pressure part repair and mill and fan refurbishment.
Hydroelectric
Francis, Kaplan and Pelton turbine services, generator rewinds, governor and excitation work, and associated mechanical and electrical plant.
Solar PV
O&M for utility and C&I solar: module cleaning and IV testing, thermography, inverter service, tracker maintenance, battery storage and SCADA support — plus supply, installation and commissioning.
Wind
Scheduled and unscheduled turbine maintenance, gearbox and blade inspection, uptower repairs, drivetrain alignment and balance-of-plant electrical works.
Oil & gas
Rotating equipment at upstream, midstream and downstream facilities — compressors, gas turbines, pumps and drivers — plus turnaround support and engineering studies.
Nuclear: Conventional island and balance-of-plant engineering support only, and in each case strictly within the scope of any licence, permission or no-objection certificate required from the competent regulatory authority.

Principals & partners
International capability, locally accountable
GES is the authorised Pakistani representative of international OEMs, independent service providers and specialist repair workshops — including providers of rotor life extension, hot gas path component repair, protective coatings and reverse-engineered replacement parts. We introduce our principals to plant owners, carry the prequalification and tendering, and take on the local execution burden so that the principal’s engineers arrive to a job that is ready to start.
Korea’s national power plant maintenance company, established 1984. Plant O&M, gas and steam turbine and generator overhaul; overseas delivery in 34 countries since 1982.
Plant operations, maintenance and performance services for thermal and combined cycle facilities.
Gas and steam turbine, HRSG and valve maintenance and overhaul.
ENG-ONE — Generator overhaul, rewind and diagnostics, with long-term service agreement delivery experience on Pakistani plant.
GES acts as an agent of independent status representing multiple principals. It does not hold or exercise authority to conclude contracts in the name of any principal; all contracts between a principal and a client are executed by the principal directly.
For international firms entering Pakistan

Why GES
Built for the new cost reality
The revised power tariff regime has placed sustained cost pressure on Pakistani IPPs and utilities, accelerating a structural shift in maintenance sourcing away from high-cost OEMs towards competitively priced, technically capable alternatives. Delivering that shift requires a Pakistani company able to bridge international technical capability and local execution. GES was constituted for exactly that purpose.
- OEM-grade methodology and documentation, at non-OEM pricing
- Backed by the Gohar Group’s balance sheet, banking relationships and governance
- Industrial safety and quality assurance ahead of schedule and cost, without exception
- One accountable contract holder in Pakistan, whatever the principal’s origin
Management policy: Top priority on industrial safety and quality assurance · cheaper energy solutions · maximisation of value for clients.
